but these days, people of all ages and genders use them during midsummer.

Moreover, as summer weather repeatedly brings sudden, short bursts of rain that weren't even in the forecast, more people have started carrying a dual-use umbrella-parasol in their bags at all times.

They used to feel more like a fashion statement, but compared to before,

they've become much more of an everyday essential,

and adults actually use them more often than you'd think.
