Starship X Amuse, Launching Boy Group 'AEN'
Starship Entertainment (hereinafter Starship) is preparing to release another "powerhouse rookie."
On the 1st, Starship announced the launch of AEN, a Korea-Japan joint venture rookie boy group, in partnership with Amuse, a leading comprehensive entertainment company in Japan.
AEN is an abbreviation for "A New Era of Now," meaning "a new generation that redefines and creates the present moment." In Japanese, it also carries the meaning of "eternity." The name reflects the group's determination to constantly change and grow.
AEN is a 7-member boy group consisting of 4 Koreans and 3 Japanese members. The profiles released on the 1st raise expectations by featuring Jiyong, Bomin, Kyuhyun, Haru, Junseo, and Kyara—who gained attention through Starship's massive global project for trainees, "Debut's Plan," in 2025—along with a new Japanese member, Haruto.
In particular, as Starship is an agency that has written a "legend of undefeated success" by producing a string of global K-pop groups such as MONSTA X, WJSN, CRAVITY, IVE, Kiki, and Idit, AEN is expected to bring a fresh breeze to K-pop.
Prior to their official activities, AEN will hold a greeting showcase, "[AEN Greeting Showcase 'First Encounter']," on the 27th at Tokyo SGC Hall Ariake. The production is led by Seishiro, a dancer, choreographer, and director highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally for his musical sense, excellent structural skills, and original world-building. 3,000 fans invited for free via a lottery will attend the event.

On the 1st, Starship released the first official profiles of AEN and announced the news of their first stage in Japan. AEN is a 7-member boy group consisting of 4 Korean members and 3 Japanese members.
The group profile photo released this time drew attention by including Jiyong, Bomin, Kyuhyun, Haru, Junseo, and Kyara, who became known through the global project "Debut's Plan" conducted for Starship trainees in 2025, as well as the previously mysterious new Japanese member, Haruto.
The group name AEN is derived from the first letters of the English phrase "A New Era of Now," meaning "a new generation that redefines and creates the present moment." At the same time, it means "eternity" (永遠) in Japanese, embodying the ambition and will to constantly change, grow, and stay with fans forever.
As the first step of their official activities, AEN will hold the "AEN Greeting Showcase 'First Encounter'" on Saturday, June 27th, at TOKYO SGC HALL ARIAKE. This showcase will be a symbolic event where AEN reveals their first performance in front of 3,000 fans invited for free via a lottery.
In particular, the overall production of this Japanese showcase is handled by Seishiro, a choreographer and director highly regarded both domestically and internationally for his original world-building and sensory composition, which is expected to further elevate the quality of the stage.
Based in Korea and Japan and targeting the entire Asian region and the global stage, AEN will begin their full-scale global activities starting with this showcase.
