[Exclusive] National Pension Service Surpasses 1,900 Trillion Won... 2,000 Trillion Within Reach
The size of the National Pension Service (NPS) fund has reportedly exceeded 1,900 trillion won. This is attributed to the KOSPI index surging by over 300 points and Samsung Electronics rising by more than 10%.
According to investment banking (IB) industry sources on the 1st, the fund size increased significantly as the KOSPI index soared to 8,800 points. It appears that reaching 2,000 trillion won will be possible in the near future.
Due to the strong performance of the stock market since the beginning of the year, the fund has earned 360 trillion won in investment returns this year alone. This marks the first time in history that the National Pension Service has achieved an annual return of over 20%.
