Unlike in the drama, Emperor Yongzheng wasn't particularly fond of beauty compared to other emperors, had no major scandals, and was simply a massive workaholic.
He was a workaholic on a level comparable to Zhuge Liang in Chinese history, and unlike most emperors, he didn't indulge in luxury in his later years.
(For reference, the original novel of "Empresses in the Palace" is not set in the Qing Dynasty. He's a victim of the drama's adaptation...)
