Some engineering student YouTuber posted that he spent 3 million won to buy semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

I checked to see what he's trying to make,

and he says he's making semiconductor wafers in his studio apartment hahaha.

He cleans the wafers,

checks for contaminants using a microscope,

bakes the wafers in equipment that reaches 1,100 degrees,

applies coatings...

Since memory and SSDs have become so expensive lately,

I'm just amazed by the madness of an engineering student doing "cottage industry" production lololol.
