Review of Costco Desserts I've Eaten So Far
https://www.dmitory.com/star/402861994 《 Our Neighborhood Bathhouse / Silence 》 Only desserts made directly at the Costco bakery!! Reviewed!!
Pumpkin Pie (Can't remember the price, sorry) Soft texture, super strong cinnamon? scent, very sweet, probably divisive? I didn't like it. A bit too intense for me. Doesn't taste like the pumpkin pies sold at bakeries in our country.. And the size is freaking huge.... It was hard to finish.
Milk Roll 19,900 won The bread on the outside is dry and tasteless, but the cream is delicious. Considering it's animal cream, large size, and price, the value for money is insane. I totally understand why it was a huge hit at one point. Before, it was a sold-out item you had to 'open run' for, but a few days ago when I went to Costco, they were selling piles of them.
Fresh Cream Donut 13,900 won Vanilla 3 / Yuzu 3, a total of 6 per set. I've repurchased it for the 3rd time. I like the cream in these donuts more than the milk roll. The cream is light and smooth, and the yuzu cream is refreshing. The donut bread is also delicious. I kept it in the fridge and ate it little by little over 4 days, and it got even tastier as the cream soaked into the bread over time.
Tiramisu (I remember it was under 20,000 won...) Contains a lot of mascarpone cheese, so the flavor is rich and it's a perfectly classic, delicious tiramisu. The quantity is also really generous, if you like tiramisu, definitely buy it. I've repurchased and eaten it countless times! These days it comes in round cup tiramisu, I haven't tried that, but reviews say the one in this square container is tastier.
Strawberry Trifle 24,990 won Fresh strawberries, strawberry jam, custard cream, whipped cream, cake layers. A safe combination that can't go wrong, and the cream doesn't taste cheap. It's known as a famous value-for-money item among Costco bakery products. If you've been hurt by pathetic bakeries that charge 10,000 won for a slice of cake because bread prices are crazy, I hope this heals you... It's a truly commendable value-for-money strawberry cake.
Mango Crunch Yogurt Cake I liked the firm base layer and the crunchy texture of the white chocolate crunch. The combination was pretty good when the refreshing mango jelly occasionally popped in my mouth. But because it's a yogurt + mango combination, I expected it to be refreshing, but it's surprisingly very creamy and sweet! I don't think it's a divisive dessert, but even if the first slice is delicious, you might get tired of it by the time you finish it all. It's worth trying at least once.
Matcha Cream Rice Cake 13,990 won The most recent new item..! 6 pieces per pack, size is about that of a Starbucks whipped cream castella. The matcha cream is delicious and the rice bread is fluffy. But there's less cream compared to the bread. It's a totally safe/average flavor that everyone can expect, so there's not much to say. It's neither good nor bad.
Variety Cookies 14,490 won

White Macadamia, Chocolate Chip, Raisin? Ate one pack of 3 types.
Surprisingly, the raisin cookies aren't tiresome and are delicious.
The quantity is insane... I froze them and ate them one by one.
If you warm them up in the microwave, they're super delicious.
Besides these, I've also tried a few others like chestnut tiramisu, muffins, and sesame brittle.
Most Costco desserts are pretty good and safe, no failures.
Considering the price and size, I think they're much better than dessert and bakery franchises.
