The "thing they want to do most" and the "gift they want most" for Children's Day, as chosen by elementary school students,

were both revealed to be "time spent with family" according to survey results.

According to the "2026 Children's Perception Survey" conducted by the Elementary School Teachers' Union on May 5th for Children's Day, targeting 1,365 elementary school students,

when asked "What is the thing you want to do most on Children's Day,"

44.1% of respondents answered "spending time with family, such as traveling or eating out."

This was followed by "receiving a gift I've wanted" (27.7%) and "spending time with friends" (10.1%).

When asked about the gift they most wanted to receive for Children's Day,

"time spent with family" also took first place (28.2%).

Regarding "what they want most from their family,"

"increasing the time spent together" (39.7%) was the most common answer.

When asked what is needed to be happy, elementary school students

responded in the order of "a harmonious home" (40%), "achieving dreams" (18.7%), and "money" (11.9%).
